This quest is easiest on an Enchanter. The final turn-in requires at least Amiable faction with Ogres, and several steps involve faction-restricted NPCs. Enchanters can use illusions and alliance spells to work around most of these barriers.

Quest Steps

Step 1 Farm Honeycombs

Misty Thicket — Northern Wall Guard Tower

Kill bixies in the guard tower area along Misty Thicket's northern wall until you have 3 Honeycombs. Honeycombs are an uncommon drop with roughly 3-minute respawns.

Honeycombs are tradeable, so you can buy them from another player or farm them on an alt.

Alternative zones: Commonlands or Kithicor Forest also have bixies that drop Honeycombs.

Step 2 Obtain Honey Jum

Rivervale

Bring your 3 Honeycombs and 3 platinum to Kizzie Mintopp in Rivervale. Trade all three Honeycombs and the platinum to her to receive the Honey Jum.

Step 3 Obtain Erud's Tonic

Erudin

First, purchase Innoruuk's Kiss of Death from Geoard BlueHawk in Erudin.

Then travel to the top level of the Erudin Library and trade the book to Sinnkin Highbrow. He will give you Erud's Tonic in return.

Step 4 Loot the Koalindl Fish

North Qeynos — Beneath the Temple of Life

Find and kill Koalindl mobs in the water beneath the Temple of Life in North Qeynos. They are level 1 and the fish is a common drop.

The Koalindl Fish is NOT tradeable — it must be looted by the character doing the quest. Killing Koalindl also causes a faction hit, so some players use a separate character to handle this step.

Step 5 Purchase the Kiola Nut

Ocean of Tears — Erollisi Island (+2000, -7830)

Travel to Erollisi Island in the Ocean of Tears and buy the Kiola Nut from Cleonae Kalen. She requires at least indifferent Wood Elf faction to sell to you.

Cleonae Kalen is only available during the day — she sleeps at night. The Kiola Nut is tradeable, so you can send a Wood Elf character or a character with sufficient faction to purchase it.

Step 6 First Turn-In — Receive Barkeep Compendium

East Freeport — Dock Area

Bring all four components (Honey Jum, Erud's Tonic, Koalindl Fish, and Kiola Nut) to Gregor Nasin in a room near the East Freeport dock area. Hand him all four items at once to receive the Barkeep Compendium.

Step 7 Final Turn-In — Receive Stein of Moggok

Oggok

Travel to Oggok and hand the Barkeep Compendium to Clurg. He will give you the Stein of Moggok.

You must be at least Amiable with the Ogres to complete this turn-in. Non-ogre characters will typically need an Enchanter to cast an Ogre illusion and alliance spells to reach the required faction standing.
