These are the Loot tables for servers using the Random Loot rules system. This includes Mischief & Teek and soon FrostReaver EverQuest servers. The way this works is that instead of mobs dropping a fixed set of items, each mob is assigned to a bucket. The buckets are esentially a list of mobs of similar level, power or expansion. When a mob spawns its drop table is choosen from the list of available buckets. This means that it could drop its own standard loot, or the loot of any of the other mobs in that group.

The one thing to note is that "quest" items (any drop item that is flagged with the 'quest' tag) will ALWAYS drop from the original mob AND has a potential to drop from any other mob in that bucket. So for example if you kill an Ancient Cyclops you will always get the ring of the ancients, but if you kill the Ghoul Supplier, you may also get it. In fact the way it works you might get two (or three) of these off the Ancient Cyclops since they will always drop one, and then might drop a second on if its rolls its own loot bucket.

When it comes to raid mobs the buckets are numbered, with higher numbers generally indicating better loot (so Tier 1 loot is from the highest level encounters of the expansion, Tier 2 is second-best, etc.).

In the tables for the expansions you can use the search and filter controls on each page to find out what specific mobs drop or which mobs can drop specific items.
